Before Konstantin has come into contemporary art, he was a specialist in architectural metal constructions. However, even after changing his main occupation he did not reject metal. For the artist, metal is a perfect material to express his mind. At the same time, generally, he gets inspired by a human, alive creature, with its passions and characters, stories and prejudices. Another source of inspiration is a city, a natural habitat for humans, a separate organism, different in its structure from place to place. Konstantin is interested in various topics: from political and urgent to abstract and reflexive. Usually, his artworks interact with the environment. They are a result of observation of the surrounding chaos, which the artist passes through himself. “What makes you an artist? The way of thinking, attentiveness, aspiration for embedding your ideas. The rest is just a craft, which may either suggest the way or leave a false trail” — Konstantin says.
